On Tuesday 4th February, the Foundation opened its doors to members of The Arts Society Corinium for a private event. The event gave Arts Society members the chance to learn more about Daniel Bingham, the history of the Foundation and explore the many treasures behind the doors of Bingham House.
Guests enjoyed a drinks reception in the C-Hub where Gary Selwyn, Chair of the Foundation, introduced the Foundation followed by a guided tour of points of interest in Bingham House by our Curatorial Advisor Helen Timlin, including a glimpse into the Bingham art store. The evening concluded in the beautiful setting of the Bingham gallery, where guests had the opportunity to view the Bingham collection and listen to local artist and current guest exhibitor Laurie Plant, giving an insight into the creative processes behind some of his artworks on display.
As well as improving public access to art, the Foundation is keen to work collaboratively with local groups and societies to create opportunities to learn and experience the arts. To explore partnership opportunities please email info@danielbinghamfoundation.org.uk
